I can't read...

The truth is that I am not good at reading. I have mild dyslexia and get bad migraines from reading more than a dozen minutes. Due to this limitation I started heavily relying on podcasts and audio books during the COVID-19 quarantine so that I could continue exploring fun ideas. While it was difficult at first, I was very lucky to find amazing books that resonated with my personality and desire to learn new things. My favorite podcasts have changed over the years including the first podcast I enjoyed as a highschooler This Week in Microbiology by Vincent Racineillo to more recent finds like A Little Bit of Optimism by Simon Sinek. I typically use podcasts to find authors promoting their books and choose books based on how interesting I think their ideas are. By far, books have been the best way for me to more fully explore new ideas and some have permanently changed how I see the world. See my book list from the past 6 years topped by my 5 favorite books of all time which I have listened to 2-3 times.
